>Completed a year long Lean Improvement Practicioner (Green Belt equivalent) apprenticeship through work.


>The programme focused on developing skills to analyse workflows, remove inefficiencies, and deliver measurable improvements:


  • Gathering and analysing data

  • Identifying points of friction in systems and processes

  • Testing and iterating solutions through small experiments

  • Using user feedback to guide decisions

Business Project

>As part of the apprenticeship I delivered a complete improvement project at my workplace, BCA.


>The project centred on standardising and improving security procedures of high-value vehicles on a large automotive storage and logistics site.


>Key elements of the project included:

  • Structured using DMAIC

  • Data-driven analysis of theft trends

  • Process mapping and waste identification (TIMWOODS)

  • Root cause analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone)

  • Stakeholder engagement across operations, security, and IT

  • Experimentation, data collection, and pilot testing

  • Design of sustainable controls for future rollout

Outcome &
